William O. Jerrell Jr., age 70 of Millville, died Sat., Oct. 5, 2013 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, after a brief illness.
Born in Millville, he was a Millville High School graduate class of 1961 and attended Gordon College in Barry, Massachusetts.
He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served three years in the Signal Corp as a SPC4. He served one of the three years in Vietnam with the 69th Signal Battalion.
He was a mechanic and had worked for Airwork Corp, formerly of Millville, for 23 years and retired. He then changed careers and became self-employed by opening his own Hobby Shop, Hobbies R Us, Millville.
He loved to fish and crab. He repaired and maintained moto-cross cycles, and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife Vivian G. (Avakian) Jerrell; a son, William O. Jerrell III of Millville; two daughters, Jacqueline Jerrell of Millville and Dana Elias and husband Jason of Dividing Creek; a brother Glenn Jerrell and wife Kathy of Indiana; a sister Ann Leamer of Missouri; four grandchildren, Helana and Angie Zeller, both of Millville, and Justin and Austin Elias, both of Dividing Creek.
He was predeceased by his sister Renee Maynard.
