William R. Cox, age 78 of Millville, passed away Thursday morning, June 15, 2023 at home surrounded by his family, after a lengthy illness.
 

Born in Millville to the late John and Marie (Sites) Cox Sr., he attended Millville Public Schools and was a life long resident.
 

For 43 years William worked for Wheaton Glass Co. in the hot end as a Master Operator, retired in 2009 from Gerresheimer Glass Inc., and he was a member of the GBBA.
 

William loved crabbing, fishing, camping, and going to the boardwalk to enjoy a few slices of his favorite pizza from Mack & Manco Pizza, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.  He was the true definition of the "Family Production Artist."

  William will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Gail (Coward); his children, Virginia Horton and her husband Russell of Millville, Billie-Jo Eilenberg and her husband Jesse of Millville, and Steven Cox and his best friend James Heaton of Belleplain; one brother Lawrence Cox and his wife Joan of Millville; four grandchildren, Jessica Mikus and her husband Micheal, Devin Chamberlain and his wife Kellie, Jesse Cox and his fiancée Taylor Sickler, and Shelby Horton;  and three great grandchildren, Damien, Blake and Hope.  He was also loved by many nieces and nephews; and survived by his dear friend Howard Grablow.  He was predeceased by his siblings, John Cox Jr., Thomas Cox, and Joan Banks.
 

A private memorial service will be planned by the family at a later date.
