Wesley Michael Birnstiel Obituary

Wesley Michael Birnstiel, age 63 of Millville, died unexpectedly Monday morning, October 21, 2013 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Millville, he graduated from Millville High School, class of 1969.
Mr. Birnstiel served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant Security Specialist with the Strategic Air Command.
He was currently working for Tuckahoe Sand and Gravel Company of Tuckahoe as a Steel Worker. Prior to that, Mr. Birnstiel worked as a Steel Worker for Millville Iron Works, and then for Dorchester Ship Yard as a Ship Fitter.
He was a member of the NRA, and a motorcycle club.
He enjoyed fishing, playing ice hockey at the University of Delaware, and he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Mr. Birnstiel is survived by his good friend Diane; his parents, Edmund and Irene (Gordon) Birnstiel; three brothers, Edmund Joseph Birnstiel and his wife Betty of Florida, Tim D. Birnstiel and wife Linda of Millville, and James Gordon Birnstiel and wife Pat of Millville; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in the Cumberland County Veteran's Cemetery, Hopewell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
