Walter Pettit Jr., a beloved resident of Millville, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 29th, 2024. Walter was a cherished member of the community, known for his warm spirit and dedication to his family and friends.

Born and raised in Millville, Walter spent most of his life in the town he loved. He was a proud Navy veteran, having served his country with honor and distinction. After his military service, Walter dedicated his career to working as a maintenance worker at the Cumberland Mall in Vineland, NJ.

Walter had a passion for the great outdoors, finding joy in fishing and hunting. He was often seen wearing his favorite camouflage clothing.

Walter is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Pettit, of Millville, NJ, and his step-son, Carl Batchelor. He also leaves behind his cousins, Jane Henry and Dorothy Stolar, along with many other cousins who will miss him dearly. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Pettit Sr. and Marguerite Pettit, as well as his sister, Dawn Pettit.

A viewing will be held at Christy Funeral Home in Millville, NJ, on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville, NJ. Memories of Walter and condolences for his family may be shared on his tribute wall.
