Terri Lynn Powell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, left this world peacefully on Monday, August 17th, 2026. Born and raised in Millville, NJ, and residing in Vineland, NJ for many years, Terri dedicated her life to her family and her community.

As a devoted homemaker, Terri created a warm and loving environment for those she cherished most. She also spent several joyful years working at Family Dollar in Millville, where she made many dear friendships.

Terri’s legacy of generosity extended beyond her family. She was devoted member of the New Life Outreach Millville, alongside her husband James Powell Jr. Together with Jim, she ran the food pantry at Higher Place Ministries for 10 years. Terri and Jim often made food to share on the streets with the homeless, visiting their tent sites and praying with them, touching countless lives with kindness and empathetic spirit. She also helped Jim volunteer at the Vineland Memorial Veterans Home for several years with gospel music and Bible study.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Powell Jr.; her children, Charles J. Parent, Marietta Boring, and stepdaughter Elizabeth Patterson; siblings Marietta Clendaniel (Brett), Anna Izzi, and stepbrother Lee Lowers Jr. Terri was a proud and doting grandmother to Xander, Topanga, and Cooper.

Terri is preceded in death by her mother, Marion Marandino, her stepfather, Lee Lowers Sr., and her siblings, John Parent and half-sibling Loretta Adams.

The family will welcome relatives and friends for a visitation at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ, on Friday, August 21st, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am., with a family eulogy at 11:30 am. A Celebration of Terri’s Life will be held at New Life Outreach Church, 201 Bluebird Ln., Millville, NJ, on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

Terri’s family invites those who knew her to share their memories and condolences on her tribute wall, as they draw comfort from the memories of her vibrant, giving, and compassionate nature.
