Stanley A. Lahendro, Sr., age 59 of Millville, died suddenly Saturday morning, May 24, 2014 in the Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born in Farmington, W. VA, he grew up in Millville and was a graduate of Millville High School, class of 1973. He attended Cumberland County College.
He had owned and operated the Apex Pest Control Co., which he purchased in 1984. He was known to be conscientious about his work and loyal to serving his customers.
Before his employment with Apex Pest Control Co. he worked for Airwork Corp. for nine years, and prior to that he had worked for West Co. for eight years. Early on he had worked for Burger Chef, where he became a manager.
He belonged to the Fratenal Order of the Eagles of Vineland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife Deborah A. (Redden) Lahendro; his son Stanley A. Lahendro Jr. and fiancée Sheila Last of Philadelphia; his daughter Amy Lahendro Davydow and husband Nicholas of Millville; his brother Bernard Lahendro and wife Sandy of Montana; four grandchildren, Stanley A. Lahendro III of Hopewell, Nicholas Davydow IV of Millville, Alexandria and Isabella Lahendro, both of PA; his Uncle Frank and Aunt Helen Marchiny of Millville; cousins, Brenda Myers and Kim Scacco both of Millville, Sandy Marchiny and Linda Lafflin; and one nephew James Wright of Kentucky. He was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Anna (Marchiny) Lahendro.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 4 p.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a calling hour from 3 to 4 p.m. before the service.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
