Samuel Meginis

Samuel Meginis, age 74, of Millville, NJ, passed away on Monday May 22, 2023 at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ. He is predeceased by his wife Judith, and his parents Margaret and Joseph Meginis. He is the father of Katie Meginis. He is the loving brother of George (Pam) Megines, Eddie (Anna) Baker, the late Josephine Baker, the late Evelyn (Art) Hannah, and the late Shirley Burges. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his 3 stepchildren Melinda, Melissa, and Mike, as well as 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Sam was born in Millville, NJ and resided there until enlisting in the United States Army in 1966. He served in the Army until his honorable discharge in 1969. After his discharge, he lived in many different parts of the country over the years, including Arizona and Florida. He had recently reconnected with his family and returned to Millville about 7 years ago. Sam worked as a chef and as a truck driver throughout his life for several different companies.

Relatives and friends are invited to join together for a closed casket visitation on Friday June 2, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
