Ruth Tumey

Ruth Mary Tumey, a beloved lifelong resident of Millville, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 24th, 2026. She passed into eternal rest, surrounded by love and cherished memories.

Ruth dedicated her life to her family and community with unwavering warmth and compassion. She worked as a packer for many years at ARC/Durand in Millville, NJ, where she she enjoyed working with many of her colleagues. Ruth had a particular love for nature and took great pleasure in feeding the birds and animals that visited her backyard, an activity that brought her peace and happiness.

Ruth is survived by her devoted children, Paul Tumey and his wife Ashley, and Tiffany Tumey, who adored her and learned so much from her gentle wisdom. She was the treasured grandmother to Paul and Aliviana Tumey, who will forever remember her playful spirit and comforting hugs. Ruth also leaves behind loving siblings: Paul Tumey Jr., Peggy Tumey, Connie Tumey, and Fran Grone, who will all miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Paul Tumey Sr. and Myrtle Parent, who welcomed her with open arms into the next life.

A private cremation will be held to honor Ruth's wishes. Her family plans to celebrate her life in a way that reflects the love she shared with everyone she met. All are invited to share memories of Ruth and offer condolences to her family on her tribute wall.
