Rocco Vincent D'Errico, Sr., passed away on Monday April 6, 2026 at the age of 96. Born in Hoboken, NJ, Rocco spent his early life in Lodi, NJ. He then raised his family in Park Ridge, NJ before moving to Millville, NJ in 2016.

Rocco graduated from Lodi High School in 1948. He proudly joined the United States Army on January 5, 1949 and was stationed at Ft. McNair, Washington DC. After 2 years of active duty, he re-enlisted for 4 more years in the Army Reserves. Rocco was employed as a drastsman/designer, specializing in the field of optics. He worked on the first cystoscope used to take a camera into the body to see internal organs. Prior to that, he worked on a system for naval safety of Navy ships, designing a fire sprinkler system.

Rocco was an avid motorcyclist, and rode his Harley Davidson to the age of 83. He was a life member of the Ramapo Motorcycle Club and the American Motorcycle Association. He supported our veterans through membership with the Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans.

Rocco married his wife Jean C. D'Errico (nee Fonseca) on July 9, 1950 and they shared in over 75 years a marriage.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children Rocco V. D'Errico, Michael V. D'Errico, Yvonne M. Jackson (Dr. Stephen), Charles Engle, and Robert Vistulli, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

A viewing for Rocco will be held on Wednesday April 15, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Thursday April 16, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ. A funeral service will begin on Thursday at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Newfield, NJ. Memories of Rocco and condolences for his family may be shared on his tribute wall.
