Robert Anthony Meandro passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2025, at the age of 85 after an extended illness.  

 

Bob graduated from Vineland High School in 1958 and went on to earn his BBA degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX, in 1962.  He served in the Army National Guard Reserves for six years with quiet pride and unwavering commitment.  A dedicated professional, Bob worked for Unimin Corp. (formerly The Morie Co.) for an impressive 50 years, retiring in 2012 from a career in the industrial minerals industry. 

 

Bob lived a life of hard work, creativity, and deep devotion to the people and passions that mattered most to him.  While his formal education was in business, his true calling was found not behind a desk, but with a hammer in hand, a blueprint in his mind, and dirt under his nails.  He was a self-taught carpenter, and his workshop was more than just a basement—it was a sanctuary.

 

Outside the workshop, Bob had a deep love for landscaping, and his yard was a living reflection of his care and vision.  He believed in creating beauty everywhere he went, and his home was surrounded by it.

 

Throughout their decades together, Bob and Jane shared not only life’s joys and passions, but also a deep and abiding love in his final years.  Jane cared for him with unwavering 
strength, devotion, and grace.

 

Bob is survived by his beloved wife and devoted caregiver, Jane Bulger Meandro; children, Scott M. Meandro and wife Amy, Kevin R. Meandro and wife Nicole, and Karin J. Brunetta; and his cherished grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua, Braeden, Nicolas, Connor, Bryce, Reagan, Blaine, Ana, Colby, Carlos.  He was predeceased by his parents, Maria and Anthony Meandro; brothers Anthony and Fred Meandro; sister Rosemarie Arcangeli.

 

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, August 25, from 9:00 am to 10:30 a.m. at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in The Parish of All Saints, 621 Dock Street, Millville.  Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 East Walnut Road, Vineland.  

 

The family requests that no flowers be sent.
