Robert T. Haefele, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, left us on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. Robert was born in Augusta, ME and a longtime resident of Paulsboro, NJ, before spending the last 35 years in Voorhees, NJ.
Robert was a proud graduate of Rider University, leading him to a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. In 1967, he founded Haefele Flanagan in Maple Shade, NJ, a firm dedicated to meeting the unique accounting needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Today, over 50 years later, the firm continues to thrive, a testament to Robert's vision and dedication.
Robert was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, enjoyed boating, and cherished trips to Caesar's Atlantic City with his beloved wife, Joanne. His love for life was evident to all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Joanne Haefele, and his children: Dawn Denney (David), Debbie Haefele (Jerry Kilkenny), Robert Haefele (Olga), James Haefele (Kara), Fred Shelley, Robert Shelley (Jasmin), and Allison Shelley (Mike Hoffman). Robert was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Maine. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rachel Haefele, and his brother William Haefele.
A private cremation will be held, and a memorial service will be announced and held at a later date to celebrate Robert's life and legacy. Memories of Robert and condolences for his family may be shared on the tribute wall.
