Robert Charles Godfrey, age 82 of Millville, passed away, Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born and raised in Millville, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served four years as an Airman First Class Radar Operator during the Korean War.
Mr. Godfrey worked for Kerr Glass and Ball Foster in quality control in the shipping department and retired in 1996.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union No. 676. He enjoyed watching t.v., and listening to country music.
Mr. Godfrey is survived by two brothers, William Godfrey, wife Lois and their family of St. Petersburg, FL, and Raymond Godfrey, wife Karen and their family of Joplin, MO; one sister Evelyn Fiske, husband Bill and their family of Susquehanna, PA; many nieces and nephews; his caretakers, Stephanie and Buddy Baglio; and his dear friend Martha Cartwright. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Mary (Ammell) Godfrey; two brothers, Leonard and John Godfrey; and one sister Eleanor Harris.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park, 10th and Broad Streets, Millville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville.
