Rita Betty (Pipitone) Hamell died Sunday morning, July 21, 2013 at the age of 94 in her home in Millville.
Born on January 2, 1919 to Vito Pipitone and Josephine Pipitone (Rabulda), Rita has been a life long resident of South Jersey.
She was employed at W.T. Grant Company for over 25 years. In her early years Rita loved shopping, spending time with her girlfriends and keeping things in order. In her retirement Rita enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, soap operas, and trying new recipes. She took pleasure in long walks and visits with her family, especially the little ones.
Rita is survived by her children, William Zeuner Jr. and his wife Judith (Miglio), Salvatore Zeuner Sr. and his wife Charlotte (Burke), and Joan Buck (Zeuner); 11 grandchildren, including Michael Zeuner with whom she resided with for many years; 22 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and her closest cousin Rose Cozzens. Rita was predeceased in death by her husband George Hamell; and her son Robert Lee Zeuner.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Downers United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2212 Fries Mill Road, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
