Rickstine Glahe, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, July 26th, 2026. Rickstine was a cherished resident of Carneys Point Township, NJ, where she lived for the past several years, bringing joy and warmth to all who knew her.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ, Rickstine was a dedicated and hardworking individual who found her calling as a bus driver with the Sheppard Bus Company in Millville, NJ. She took immense pride in her work, and her love for driving her school bus was evident to all who had the pleasure of riding with her. Beyond her professional life, Rickstine had a passion for drawing and coloring, and cooking and baking. She also enjoyed playing Candy Crush, a pastime that connected her with many friends.

Rickstine's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her children, Angela Winston (William), Michael Carter (Angela), and Krystal Spinnato. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Amber, Star, Mary, Brandon, Lyndsey, Mark, Michael, Harlee-Rose, Ariel, Daylynn, Jordon, Johnelli, Kaylee, John Jr., and Sunny, as well as her great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Mia, Madison, Aiden, and Lilly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Elizabeth Hoogestraat, her daughter Kandy Carter, her granddaughter Jemma, and her siblings, Herman Hoogestraat and Elizabeth VanMeter.

Cremation and services will be held privately. Her family invites those who knew and loved her to share memories and condolences on her tribute wall.
