Raymond Gary McMahon, age 71, a beloved lifelong resident of Millville, NJ departed this world on Tuesday, Feb. 17th, 2026 at Inspira Hospital, Vineland, surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was a gentle soul cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend known for his witty sense of humor, strength, courage, and positivity in all he endured over many years facing life challenges.

Raymond was born and raised in Millville, where he spent his entire life surrounded by family and friends. He graduated from Millville Senior High School, class of 1972. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, as a telephone linesman, a testament to his dedication and love for his nation. He was honorably discharged during the Vietnam War.

Raymond was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in listening to classic rock music and spent countless hours enjoying old movies, sitcoms, and game shows. His sense of humor was legendary among those who knew him best, bringing much laughter to all in the room. He is a true Hero who has defied odds for many years, never once complaining. Above all, Raymond treasured his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving siblings, James McMahon, Jr., Robert McMahon and wife Janice, Maureen Ziegler and partner Tom Sukeforth, sister-in-law Diane McMahon, and French sister Christine Lell. Nephews Joseph McMahon, Jr. and fiance Stephani Sooy, Robert Harold, Phillip McMahon and wife Michelle. Nieces Dolores Borsani and husband Dennis, Jennifer Rehmann and husband William, Shannon Ziegler and partner Patrick Sheehan, Caitlin Mulholland and husband Fran, Lauren Yunk and husband Matthew. He also leaves behind many great-nephews and great-nieces, plus numerous cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly. His longtime caregivers Jennifer, William, Maribel, Catherine, Lillian, Noreen, Julisa, and Bianca, as well as his VA home-based team Patricia, Maybelline, Vanessa, and Lavonna, provided him with unwavering support and care.

He was preceded in death by his very loving and selfless parents, James McMahon, Sr. and Margaret McMahon, and his loving brother Joseph McMahon, Sr.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a viewing to be held at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Millville, NJ. Raymond's family invites all who knew him to share memories and condolences on his tribute wall, celebrating the life of a man who brought joy and laughter to so many.
