Penelope A. "Penny" Berry, age 72 of Millville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 2025 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Born in Bridgeton, Penny grew up in Port Norris, and graduated from Millville High School. She continued her education at the Berkley Business School.

For over 20 years she worked as an Administrative Specialist at Prudential Insurance Company in Millville and retired. She enjoyed working in her garden, doing puzzles, and spending time in Cape May and with her sisters.

Penny will be sadly missed by her son Matthew S. Berry and his wife Raquel; stepson Brian Berry; two sisters, Kathryn MacFarland and Martha Keen; and four grandchildren, Gisselle Perez, Matthew W. Berry, Brody Berry and Brooklyn Berry. She was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert Carney and Jane (Riggin) Lindsay; her husband Douglas Berry; and her son Jonathan Berry.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Haleyville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter, 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.  Memories and expressions of sympathy for the family of Penelope Berry can be shared on her tribute wall.
