Paul E. Hinson Sr., age 83 of Millville passed away Saturday morning, July 8, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. He had been in declining health.
  Born in Millville to the late Joseph and Helen (Adams) Hinson, he was a life long Millville resident. During his high school years he was a star track and field athlete, and football player at Millville High School. After high school he and his brother Gil owned and operated Hinson Amoco Service Station, on Main Street in Millville. From 1960 to 1962 Paul served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany.
  Upon his return from Germany, he married and began working for Maul Bros. He then worked as a Procurement Specialist for Wheaton Plastics in Mays Landing for 20 years and retired.
  Paul loved watching western and war movies. He was often out and about, stopping in for a quick visit with friends or family. Paul was known by many and loved by all. The Hinson Family sends a special 'thank you' to the Bayada nurses for their excellent care.
  Paul will be sadly missed by his wife Marion (Formica); his children, SueEllen Marshall (Michael) of Illinois, Shana L. Weiskopf (Todd) of Millville, and Paul E. Hinson Jr. (Dana) of Franklinville; his stepson Chris DiBuono (Erin) of Jersey City; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and his sister-in-law Kathy Giles (Tesa Leonard) of Delaware. He was predeceased by his brother Gilbert J. Hinson Sr.; and his ex-wife Carole L. (Felmey) Hinson.
  A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
