Patrick E. Hines Sr., age 55 of Millville died suddenly Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 in Presbyterian Hospital of Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Millville, he grew up there and graduated from Millville High School.
He had worked as a mechanic for Ushler's Auto Body Shop of Millville until his retirement.
He was a member of the Parish of All Saints - St. Mary Magdalen Church of Millville.
He enjoyed woodworking in his private workshop. In his free time he enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, and spending time with his best friend Roxy Hines.
He is survived by his wife Denise R. (Banfield) Hines; one son Patrick E. Hines Jr. and companion Daina Kiley of Millville; three daughters, Christina Stranaghan and husband Lenny Weaver of Millville, Stephanie Napoli and husband Joshua of VA, and Erika Gandy and husband Bret of Millville; two brothers, Jack and William Hines; five sisters, Adele Chambers, Mary Shropshire, Virginia Peck, Betty Ann Hines, and Jeanie Pettit; and eight grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, William Harry and Adelaide (Daly) Hines; a brother, Byron Hines and a sister, Cecilia Caregnato.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing in the funeral home from 9 to 11 a.m. before the service.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery of Millville.
The family has requested memorial contributions to American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
