Patricia Lynn (Raymond) Dyar, age 60 of Laurel Lake, Millville, passed away Monday morning, December 9, 2013 at Inspira Health Center, Vineland after a lengthy illness.
Born and raised in Bridgeton, she lived in Laurel Lake for over 45 years.
For many years, Mrs. Dyar worked as a presser for Millville Launderers and Dry Cleaning.
She was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and she was a lifetime member of the Laurel Lake Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. She was one of the founding members of the Laurel Lake Crime Watch.
Mrs. Dyar is survived by her children, Tammy Wright of Tennessee, and Gary Sockwell Jr. and his wife April of Riverside; her mother, Catherine (Keech) Raymond of Laurel Lake; two brothers; two sisters, three granddaughters, Terressa, U.S.N., Ellestine, and Thora Grey; one grandson Timothy, U.S.N.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stewart Dyar in 1995; her father Thomas J. Raymond Jr.; two brothers; and one sister.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Laurel Lake Fire and Rescue Company, 5436 Battle Lane, Millville, NJ 08332.
