Evelyn (Steele) Young, age 98 of Millville, died Mon. morning, Dec. 24, 2012, at the SJR Medical Center, Vineland after a brief illness.
Born in Millville, she grew up there and graduated from Millville High School.
She was a member of the Second U. Methodist Church of Millville, and a member of the Cumberland County S.P.C.A., of Vineland. She was also a 48-year member of the Millville Woman's Club and a member of the Shekinah Lodge Order of the Eastern Star. Evelyn enjoyed her home, taking care of her yard and her pets.
She is survived by two cousins, Marie Konschak and Fred Bailey, both of Millville.
She was predeceased by her husband Vernon S. Young, former post master of Millville, and her niece Gladys Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St. Millville . There will be a viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home before the service.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
