Mrs Doris Simpkins Obituary
Doris May (Morrison) Simpkins, age 81 of Millville, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 in the Lakewood of Voorhees Nursing Home.
Born in Ocean City, she grew up in Somers Point and moved to Millville when she was ten years old. She was a Millville High School graduate, and earned her Associates degree from Cumberland County College.
A registered nurse, she had worked at the Seabrook House for 15 years until her retirement. Prior to that she had worked for Cumberland Manor for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who survive her: Russell Boyd Jr., Anthony Boyd, Lorraine Montalvo and Melanie Boyd; and three great-grandchildren, Destiny, Amber, and Aria.
She was predeceased by her husband William R. Simpkins in 1994; two sons, Lewis Boyd and Russell Boyd Sr.; and three sisters, Phyllis Kuhns, Beverly Sharp and Marion Hilliard.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. in the Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Millville. Entombment will follow.
