Clarissa W. (Porter) Smith, age 86 of Millville died Sun., Jan. 6, 2013 in the SJR Medical Center of Vineland. She had been in declining health for two years.
Prior to her family moving to Millville, she was born in Conshohocken, PA. She grew up in Millville and was a life long Cumberland County resident.
She attended the Gospel Lighthouse Church of God of Millville. A homemaker, she enjoyed doing word search puzzles, and working with plastic crafts and beads. She also enjoyed attending auctions, telling jokes and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons, Howard Cossaboon and wife Cheryl of Pt. Elizabeth, Floyd Cossaboon and wife Fran of FL, Harold Cossaboon and wife Sandy of Delmont, and Joseph Cossaboon and wife Ann of Dividing Creek; eight daughters, Sara Burcham and husband Wayne of Haleyville, Ruth Harris and husband Earl of FL, Darlene Harris and husband Leroy of Dividing Creek, Barbara Whilden and husband Fran of Laurel Lake, Dorothy Cossaboon and companion Harry of Cumberland, Clarissa Cossaboon and companion John Malloy of Laurel Lake, Grace Burcham of North Carolina, and Elvia Santiago and husband Mike of Vineland; 40 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by husbands, Floyd Cossaboon and Thomas Smith; a son, Harry Cossaboon in 2012; and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thurs., Jan. 10,at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home before the service.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
