Michael E. Hurley, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025. He was a longtime resident of Cape May County, NJ, before recently moving to Millville, NJ.

Michael worked all of his life with disabled adults, and finished his career at Lake Lenape House in Mays Landing, NJ. His compassionate nature and commitment to helping others were evident in both his professional and personal life.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Hurley (nee Scott), and his cherished children, Jennifer Hurley (Julius Boros Jr.), Timothy E. Hurley, and Ryan P. Hurley. He was a proud grandfather to Julius III, Jiana, and Jaiden. Michael also leaves behind his siblings, Kathleen Colarocco (Robert), Patrick Hurley, and Elizabeth Hurley, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and his dogs Max and Mina, who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund W. Hurley and Patsy Jo Hurley, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

Michael was a man of many passions. He loved politics and western movies, was an avid reader, and had a deep appreciation for history. He was a longtime friend of Bill W, offering hope and guidance to countless individuals on their own journeys.

A private cremation will be held in accordance with Michael's wishes. His family will receive friends and neighbors for a visitation on Wednesday March 5, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Living Waters Fellowship Church of God, 1151 North Ave., Port Norris, NJ. A Celebration of Life service will being at 11:00 am. Memories of Michael and condolences for his family may be shared on his tribute wall.
