Marshall R. Smith, age 22 of Millville passed away peacefully Friday evening, Feb. 22, 2013 surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Bridgeton, he grew up in Millville and graduated from Millville High School, class of 2009. He was currently attending Cumberland County College. The Millville Fire Department had made him an Honorary Member. He was an amateur radio operator and was involved in the Cumberland County RACES and Skywarn. He enjoyed bass fishing, sporting clays, golf, goose hunting and gardening. He especially enjoyed cooking.
He is survived by his parents, David R. and Susan (Swink) Smith of Millville; his sister Michele Smith of Millville; his paternal grandmother Sylvia Huntley Stites and husband Jack of Millville; his maternal grandmother June (Loder) Swink of Millville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing Fri. evening, March 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sat. morning, March 2, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. before the service.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
