It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Margaret M. Maltese (nee Boyle) on July 1, 2025. Margaret was born on August 13, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA to William and Anna Boyle.

Margaret, or Peggy as she was known, was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls in 1946. She was a homemaker and employed at Prudential for 18 years until her retirement in 1988. Peggy was kind and genial. She loved meaningful conversations, reading, and sharing her knowledge and experience. She had many roles, daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and Mom-Mom. She left an indelible mark on all who knew and loved her.

Peggy is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ogden of Springfield, VA, John Ogden of Millville, Christine and Fred Spaziani of Springfield, VA, Judi Maltese, Ellie Simmons both of Galloway, NJ, her grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Zerra and their children Maximus and Vivienne Zerra all of Millville, Joseph Spaziani of Arlington, VA, Alison Spaziani of Springfield, VA, Kristen Curry and Lauren Fayter and their children. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Boyle, brother-in-law James Lutz and his children and their families, sister-in-law Barbara Boyle and her family, and the extended Maltese family.

Peggy was predeceased by her husband Anthony Maltese Sr. and his son Anthony Jr., her beloved daughters Kathleen Hawn and Susan Fayter, two brothers, William and Robert Boyle and sister, Jeanne Lutz.

We would like to thank every nurse, caregiver and staff member for the care provided to our mother and grandmother through the years. She may not have always remembered your names, but she remembered your faces and your kindness.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street Millville, NJ 08332. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the Parish of All Saints, church hall. Interment will be private for the family. Memories of Peggy and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
