Madeline Goldstine Obituary

Madeline V. (Milita) Goldstine, age 93 of Millville, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Millville Center after a brief illness.
Born in Bellaire, Ohio, she grew up in Millville and attended St. Mary Magdalen School. She graduated from Millville High School in 1938.
Mrs. Goldstine worked for Guiffra's Candy Store. She met her husband Robert while volunteering as a USO girl during WWII. They married in 1944, and were married for 66 years when her husband died in 2011.
She was an accomplished baker, and she enjoyed walking, doing crafts, and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to read and attend musicals. She was a very active member of St. Mary Magdalen Church.
Mrs. Goldstine is survived by her children, Richard and Marilyn Goldstine of Millville, Raymond Goldstine of Rockville, MD, and Donna L. Pio and husband Edward of Millville; five grandchildren, Cheryl McMillan of Bellwood, PA, Amy Middlekauff of Millville, Stacey Musey and husband William of Millville; Joann Abbamonte and husband Mark of Millville, and Daniel Pio and wife Cathy of Egg Harbor Twp.; seven great grandchildren, Allison and Matthew McMillan, Garrett, Logan and Isabella Musey, Brady Middlekauff, and Ryan Abbamonte; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; three brothers, Marmon, Angelo and Martin Milita; and two sisters, Frances Dacy and Thelma Carey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in the Parish of All Saints, St. Mary Magdalen Church, Buck and Depot Streets, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Parish of All Saints, 621 Dock Street, Millville, NJ 08332 or to the Millville Army Air Field Museum, 1 Leddon Street, Millville, NJ 08332.
