Lorraine A. "Lori" Swaim, a beloved teacher and cherished member of the Millville, NJ community, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13th, 2026. She was born in Millville, and was a lifelong resident.

Lori dedicated her career to nurturing young minds as a teacher at R.M. Bacon Elementary School in Millville, New Jersey for the past several years. Her passion for teaching and her ability to connect with her students left an indelible mark on thousands of lives over the years. Her classroom was not just a place of learning but a haven of inspiration and encouragement.

Lori's love for her dogs, Ella, Jameson, and Ally, was well-known, and she cherished her trips to Williamsburg, where she found joy and relaxation. Her life was enriched by the deep bonds she formed with her family and friends, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Lori is survived by her loving father, Robert Gordon; her devoted godparents, Patricia and Dominick Fioresi; her cherished godson, Ian Sheppard; her best friend and "sister by choice," Beth Pansa; her dear niece, Lizzie; and her nephew, Joey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Antoinette Hvezda Gordon, and her husband Richard Swaim.

In accordance with her wishes, Lori will be cremated privately. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date, where family, friends, and former students can gather to honor her legacy and share their memories. The family invites those who knew Lori to share their memories and condolences on her tribute wall.
