Lois C. (Goetaski) Benner, age 62 of Vineland and formerly of Millville, passed away Sunday morning, March 30, 2014 at the Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. She had been in declining health for many years.
Born in Mannington Twp., she grew up in Pedricktown and went to school there, and moved to Millville in 1985.
Mrs. Benner was a homemaker. Previously, she had worked for Bradlees Department Store in Vineland for five years, and retired on a disability.
She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, and she loved her pets and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Benner is survived by two daughters, Sharon Sladky of Vineland, and Lisa Goetaski of Tuckahoe; two sisters, Linda Briggs of W. VA, and Gail Shade of Pennsville; two grandchildren, Ashley and Zachary Snyder, both of SC; and her former companion Ronald Cassidy. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Goetaski and Elizabeth (Bruce).
Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
