Lillian A. Riggins, age 53 of Millville, died Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2014, in Inspira Health Center, Vineland after an extended illness.
Born in Millville, she grew up there and graduated from Millville High School class of 1978.
She was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Millville.
Lillian had worked for the Tractor Supply Company of Vineland for the past four years as a cashier. Prior to that she had worked for the Farm and Country Supply Co. of Millville for 18 years. Early on she had worked for several years for Kerr Glass Co., formerly of Millville.
She was a former member of the Moose Lodge of Millville.
She was a Church League bowler and had bowled at Loyle Lanes until it was destroyed by fire. She then bowled at Legacy Lanes of Deerfield.
An avid sports fan, her favorite teams were the N. Y. Mets baseball team and the Miami Dolphins football team. She also enjoyed watching TV soap operas.
She is survived by her son Shaun M. Riggins of Millville; her brother Stephen L. Riggins and wife Suzanne (Roger) of Vineland; her parents Chester B. and Barbara J. (Burchett) Riggins of Millville; her nephew Andrew; her niece Monica; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville.
There will be a viewing Thursday evening, May 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home, and again on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
