Kristin Veronica Ramer, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 at the age of 53. Born in Portsmouth, VA, Kristin was raised in North Cape May, NJ, where she developed a lifelong love for animals and the great outdoors. Twenty years ago, she moved to Vineland, NJ, where she built a beautiful life with her beloved husband, John Ramer Jr.

Kristin was a dedicated Veterinary Technician at Abri Animal Hospital in Cape May Court House, NJ, where her compassion and expertise touched the lives of countless animals and their owners. Her passion for animal welfare extended to her next job, as she also served as a Kitten Care Coordinator for the Vineland SPCA. Kristin's commitment to her community was further exemplified through her role as the Head NSO for Penn-Jersey Roller Derby, where she was affectionately known by her derby name, "Keepin Score."

Kristin's love for nature was evident in her favorite pastimes, which included hiking, kayaking, and camping in Belleplain State Forest. Her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were infectious, inspiring those around her to appreciate the beauty of the natural world.

Kristin is survived by her devoted husband, John Ramer Jr., her cherished children, Cana and Lily Ramer; her loving mother, Lora L. DeSorbo; and her dear sister, Jamie Castagnoli and nephew Finn Castagnoli. Her family and friends will forever remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

A private cremation will be held under the care of Christy Funeral Home in Millville, NJ. A memorial visitation to celebrate Kristin's life will be held on Sunday September 14, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kristin's memory to the Village Trappers of Millville (TNRV - trap, neuter, vaccinate, and return of stray cats in South Jersey communities) and supporting the needs of the volunteers of the Penn Jersey Roller Derby.
