Kenneth C. Moss, age 82 of Millville, passed away Friday morning, September 20, 2013 at his residence, after an extended illness.
Born and raised in Vineland, he went to Millville Senior High School, and graduated in 1949.
Mr. Moss served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal, and he was stationed in Europe during the Cold War.
For 44 years, he worked as a Pattern Maker for Model Blouse Co. in Millville. He then worked as a Salesman Driver for Huber Baking Co., retiring in 1993.
He was a huge sports enthusiast. He played all sports and was on several city championship teams. He had mentored many young tennis and basketball players over the years. Mr. Moss had a large collection of bottles. He and his wife traveled extensively, and they particularly enjoyed Florida. He looked forward to his weekly poker games with his good friends. He especially enjoyed harness racing at Brandywine Racetrack in Delaware. He also was an avid animal lover.
Mr. Moss is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marianne M. (Maguire); one brother Robert H. Moss and wife Dianne of Millville; one brother-in-law Michael Maguire and wife Roberta of Pittslawn; three nieces; two nephews; and five cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Helen (Cossaboon) Moss.
