Kenneth Edward "Ed" Bailey Sr., a longtime resident of Millville, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025. Born in Dividing Creek, NJ, Ed lived a life full of service, adventure, and love.

Ed proudly served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965, an experience that profoundly shaped his life and instilled in him a deep sense of duty and patriotism. Following his military service, Ed dedicated his career to public safety and service, working as a corrections officer at Bayside State Prison in Leesburg, NJ. His commitment to his community extended beyond his professional life, as he also served as a park ranger, police officer, volunteer firefighter, pilot, and private investigator throughout his life. Ed was truly one of the greatest polymaths to emerge from Dividing Creek. He always credited Uncle Sam with giving him his first car, a Jeep. And he paid that forward, giving his children the best he could, including cars. His children and his found family/son of sorts Randy Gardenhire Jr. have benefitted from his excellent taste and skill in selecting and taking care of cars to pass on to the next owner.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie Bailey, and his son, Daniel Vincent Bailey. He is survived by his loving children, Kenneth E. Bailey Jr. (Patti), Kevin E. Bailey, and Jordan Bailey, as well as his four cherished grandchildren.

Cremation and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Nabb-Leslie Post 82, 220 Buck St., Millville, NJ 08332, in honor of Ed's lifelong commitment to service and community.
