Kelley M. Drake age 53 of Millville, passed away at home, Wednesday morning November 6, 2013 with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Millville, he attended Millville High School, and was a life long resident.
For many years, Kelley worked as a printer for the Daily Journal. He then worked for Evergreen Printing in Bellmawr.
Kelley was a member of the Fairton Christian Center and a proud member of the Millville Fire Department.
He enjoyed taking trips on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his buddies, and giving out pool passes to the "Drake Pool." He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
Kelley is survived by three sons, Kyle and his wife Katie of Vineland, and Joshua and Cameron, both of Millville; one sister Susan L. Davis of Cedarville; his grandson Kane; and many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews. He loved to spend time with his best friends, Patrick and Theresa. Kelley will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him and his faithful dog Bruiser. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter M. Drake Sr. in 2011, and Mary E. (Kelley) in 2000.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Marshall R. Smith Childhood Cancer Foundation, PO Box 304, Millville, NJ 08332.
