Joy C. (Krough) Bryson departed this life on August 5, 2013 at Genesis Nursing Home, Millville Center after a lengthy illness.
Joy was born March 26, 1942 in Pennsgrove to the late George and Olive Krough.
She attended Pennsville Public Schools. She was a homemaker, and volunteered at Wood School in Millville. Joy enjoyed having family and friends visit, crocheting, listening to her scanner and watching her "Judge" shows on TV.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children; Billy of Houston, TX, Regina Bryson of Bridgeton, Rhonda Carmen and husband Frank of Millville, and Jerrold "Scott" of Millville; four grandchildren, Robert, Joanna, Christopher and Annie; two sisters, Joan Evans of Carneys Point, and Carol Barr of Lester, PA; and a host of family relatives and friends. She is predeceased by the love of her life Billy Ray Bryson Sr.; four brothers, George, Steven, Michael and Fredrick; and two sisters, Sally Till and Barbara Pyla.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or to the American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic, 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
