Josephine M. (Liberti) Zuber, age 96 of Millville, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at her residence, after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Millville, she was a life long resident.
For many years, Mrs. Zuber worked as a seamstress for Model Blouse and retired.
She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church of Millville. She loved partying, gambling, playing poker, and eating and picking blue crabs. She liked animals, and she was particularly fond of dogs.
Mrs. Zuber is survived by two sons, Grafton G. Sooy and wife Patsy of Millville, and Richard Sooy of Millville; one daughter Mary A. Sooy of FL; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Zuber in 1986; and her parents, Salvatore and Petrina (Genovese) Liberti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 2 Hillcrest Ave., Millville. There will be a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360 or to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 518 South Shore Road, Marmora, NJ 08223.
