Josephine R. (McGinnis) Baker

Josephine R. Baker, age 78, of Millville, NJ, passed away on Wednesday February 22, 2023. Beloved mother of Joseph Baker. Dear sister of George (Pam) McGinnis, Sam McGinnis, Eddie (Anna) Baker, the late Evelyn (Art) Hannah, and the late Shirley Burges. Josephine is predeceased by her dear cousin Hazel Brown. She is survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Josephine was born in Camden, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Millville. She worked as a packer for Wheaton Glass for 20 years, then went on to work as a cafeteria worker for the Millville Board of Education for 20 more years.

Josephine loved everything Elvis Presley related. She could listen to his music for hours. She collected any piece of memorabilia she could find. She also loved seeing shows with Elvis impersonators.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Josephine’s family on Thursday March 2, 2023 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.  Condolences and fond memories of our friend Josephine may be shared on the tribute wall.
