John William Pelechaty Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, at the age of 74. A lifelong resident of Millville, NJ, John was a cherished member of the community.
John dedicated his professional life to his work as a machinist at Alcan Packaging in Millville, NJ, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues. Beyond his career, John was deeply involved in his community, coaching youth sports for many years and positively impacting the lives of many young athletes. He was most proud of his sons sports accomplishments.
John had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time at the casinos and racetrack with his friends. He was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and found great joy in listening to his music. He also loved country music, Philadelphia Eagles, and Philadelphia Phillies. Above all, John treasured the time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Alice Pelechaty; his sons, Nicholas Pelechaty (Rachel Galego) and John Pelechaty Jr. (Joy); and his cherished grandchildren, Gianna, Gabby, Logan, and Dalton. He also leaves behind his sister, Connie McFadden. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alverta Pelechaty (nee Whildin), and his brother, Paul Pelechaty.
In accordance with John's wishes, cremation will be held privately. The family invites those who knew and loved John to share memories and condolences on his tribute wall.
