Joann S. Colon, a beloved wife, mother, sibling, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025. A longtime resident of Vineland, NJ, Joann was born in Millville, NJ, where she spent her formative years and built a life filled with love and dedication to her family.
Joann was a devoted home health aide, working for many years with Homemakers in Millville, NJ. Her compassionate nature and commitment to caring for others left a lasting impact on the lives she served. Joann enjoyed gardening, plants, exploring South Jersey, thrifting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Colon; her cherished children, George LeBron, David Brown, and Michelle Brown-White; her siblings, Juan LeBron, Ruth Ann White, Tina "Lambie" Cruz, Paul Watson, and Jimmy Watson; six grandchildren, Dustin, Brielle, Nicholas, Dejah, Brooke, and David Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Dustin Jr. and Elliot, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Santiago LeBron and Lillian (Cossaboon) Cromwell; her stepfather, George Watson; her sisters, Christina "Tina" LeBron, Johnnie Anna Ramos, Lillian "Lulu" Shaffer, and Cindy Watson; her stepbrother, Frankie Watson; and her grandson, Anthony "Tony" LeBron.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joann's life at a viewing at Christy Funeral Home in Millville, NJ, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville, NJ. Joann's family invites you to share your memories and condolences her tribute wall.
