Joan E. Cox, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, left us peacefully on Friday, April 10th, 2026. Joan was a cherished resident of Millville for many years before making her home in Laurel Lake 12 years ago..

Joan was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John W. Cox, Jr., her beloved daughter, Barbara Vosburgh, her sister, Rosemary "Sally" Kemler, and her parents, George and Isabella (nee Rennie) Misel. She is survived by her loving children: Patricia Thompson (Harry), Susan Chester (Steve), Vickie Gubbine, and John Cox, III. Joan's legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Joan was born in Ebensburg, PA and graduated high school in Clovis, NM. She was very proud of her travels throughout her life with her parents and then with her husband. She dedicated many years of her life working as a machine operator for Santa's Best in Millville, NJ. Her work ethic and dedication were admired by all who knew her. Outside of work, Joan had a passion for country line dancing and was known for her delicious homemade fudge, which she lovingly prepared for her family during the holidays. Her love for animals, especially her cats, was evident to all who visited her home.

Joan had a zest for life and enjoyed traveling to many places over the years, creating memories that will be cherished by her family and friends.

A graveside service to honor Joan's life will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville, NJ, on Friday, April 17th, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who brought joy and love to all who knew her. Memories of Joan and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
