Jimmie Lee Hollis, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, March 19th, 2026, after an extended illness. Born in Parkin, AR, and raised in Venice, IL, Jimmie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Jimmie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 25 years, retiring in 1987. His dedication and service were a testament to his character and commitment. Following his military career, Jimmie continued to contribute to the aviation field as a manager at Airwork in Millville, NJ, where he was respected and admired by his colleagues.
A graduate of Lincoln High School, Jimmie was not only a skilled jet engine technician but also an Air Force historian. He had a passion for writing and cherished the moments spent with his family. His stories and wisdom will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Jimmie is survived by his devoted wife, Geraldine Hollis; his son, Marlon Sean Hollis, and his wife, Jen-Na, and his grandson Conley Hollis; his daughter, Dawn Sabrina Goodson, and his grandson, Mark Goodson Jr. He also leaves behind his sibling, Jewel Phelps. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Nehemiah Clark.
A viewing will be held at Christy Funeral Home in Millville, NJ, on Thursday, March 26th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service with military honors will follow at 11:00 am. Cremation and inurnment will be conducted privately.
The family invites friends and loved ones to share memories of Jimmie Lee and offer condolences on his tribute wall.
