Jason Lee Bowen, a lifelong resident of Millville, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026. Born in Vineland, New Jersey, Jason was a cherished member of his community.

Jason dedicated 19 years of his life as a groundskeeper at the Woodbine State School in Woodbine, NJ. His commitment to his work was matched only by his love for dogs and his active involvement in dog rescue organizations. Jason was also an avid video game enthusiast.

He is survived by his loving sister, Sherra Hand, and her husband, Brian; his dear aunts, Dorothy Giuizio, and Denise Welden; his uncle, Sam Welden; and his cherished nieces, Courtney, Sam, and Kaitlyn. Jason was preceded in death by his father, David Lee Bowen, and his mother, Grace Kelly Welden.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Christy Funeral Home, located at 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ, on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A memorial service celebrating Jason's life will follow at 7:00 pm.

Jason will be remembered for his kind-hearted nature and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. His family invites you to share your memories and condolences on his tribute wall.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Jason's memory to a local dog rescue organization, reflecting his enduring love for animals.
