Janette E. (Alexander) Gaskill, age 83 of Newfield and formerly of Millville, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Del Rio, TN, Mrs. Gaskill lived in Millville before moving to Newfield 40 years ago.
She was a homemaker, and for 15 years she worked as a Packer for Kerr Glass and retired in 1972.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Millville, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and taking vacations.
Mrs. Gaskill is survived by her husband of 49 years, David J. Gaskill; three sons, Roger McGaha, Jeff McGaha, and David Gaskill; three sisters, Minnie Myers, Decimal Trainer, and Ellie Mae Bollerman; one brother James Alexander; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Ruble McGaha; one son Michael; two sisters, Edith Lamb and Edree Myers; and two brothers, Will and Talathan Alexander.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.
