Janet "Jeanette" M. Hufsey, age 90, passed away on Sunday January 29, 2023 at Inspira Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was affectionately known as "Maga" by her grandchildren. Born in Salem, NJ, she was raised in Penns Grove and moved to Millville at 29, where she raised her family. During that time, she attended Second Methodist Church. She returned to Penns Grove for several years and was a member of the Bethel Bible Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir, nursery, VBS, funeral ministry, and decorating the church for the holidays. Janet later moved to Vineland, NJ to live with her son and eventually to New Standard Senior Living in Millville. She was able to regain her sense of independence, participating in all their activities, and enjoying the events there. She especially loved rocking in her chair outside on beautiful days with her new friends. She also enjoyed shopping, taking day trips, and was known as an immaculate homemaker who decorated her home beautifully.

She was married to Luke Malone and had 4 children and later married Mulford (Doc) Hufsey Jr., and had 3 more children. She is survived by her sister Peggy Eyler of Carney's Point, NJ, sister-in-law Margie Dolbow of Ocean City, NJ, daughter-in-law Anna of North East, MD, sons Dan Malone (Carol) of Vineland, Mulford Hufsey III (Brenda) of Millville, daughters Terri Malone (Cindy) of Florida, Debbie Parent of Vineland, Lori Reeves of Chesapeake, VA, and step-son Roger Hufsey (Linda) of Vinalhaven, ME; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both of her husbands, brothers Sammy Dolbow, Harvey Dolbow Jr., sister Dolores Snyder Hogate, sons Luke Malone and Terry Malone, and granddaughter, Lisa Parent.

Relatives and friends are invited to join with Janet's family for a viewing on Wednesday February 1, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel Bible Baptist Church in her memory.
