Helene "Helen" Margaret Lawless, age 86 of Bridgeton and formerly of Millville passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Preferred Care at Cumberland in Bridgeton.

Helene was born to the late William Sr. and Helen (Janaski) Murphy in Shamokin, PA. She lived in many places throughout her life before becoming a longtime resident of Cumberland County.

She was a homemaker.

Helene loved to watch T.V., especially channel 6. She also enjoyed playing cards, and taking many trips to visit her family in PA and FL, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends was one of her greatest joys in life.

Helene will be sadly missed by her children, Helen Renyo and John Romain; step daughter JoAnn Fauver (Gerald Sr.); siblings, William Joseph Murphy, Jr. (Carol), and Joanne Scotko; four grandchildren, J.J. Renyo, Madison Renyo, Jerry Fauver Jr., and Nick Fauver; two great grandchildren, Jaxon Fauver and Wesley Fauver; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Firman Lawless in 1998; and one son James Romain.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cumberland United Methodist Church Cemetery in Maurice River Twp.
