Gregorio "Goyo" Mendez Ramos, age 73, of Millville, NJ, passed away on Monday February 5, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Goyo was born in Lares, Puerto Rico. He was a longtime resident of Landisville, NJ before moving to Millville a little over a year ago. He worked as a field worker on the blueberry farms in Hammonton, NJ for many years before retiring.

Goyo is the husband of the late Luz M. Gonzalez Arroyo, who passed away in 2001. He is the beloved father of Vanessa Mendez Gonzalez, Luz C. Mendez Gonzalez, Javier Mendez Gonzalez and the late Gregory Mendez Gonzalez. He is the proud grandfather of Rícardo R. (Gina) Aquino, Jorge (Vanessa) Aquino, Dan (Nina) Aquino, Derek (Madeline) Roldan, Luis Sanchez, Sanelys Soto, Yared Torres, and Janie Mendez; great-grandfather of Michaelangelo, Aviana, Liam, Aaron, and Isaí. Goyo is the loving brother of Norma Mendez Ramos, Luz Mendez Ramos, Leonardo Mendez Ramos, and Wilma Mendez Ramos. He is also survived and will be missed by his former son-in-law Victor Centeno.

Relatives and friends are invited to join together on Friday February 9, 2024 for a viewing from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 2:00 pm. Cremation will be held privately. Memories of Goyo and condolences for his family may be shared using the tribute wall.
