Gladys Perez

Gladys Perez, age 85 of Millville, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her residence.
  Born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she moved to NYC when she was 16 years old.  She married, started her family, and also raised three of her grandchildren.   
  For the past 27 years she lived in Millville.  Throughout her life, Gladys was active with the catholic church.  She was giving and loving, and she connected spiritually and positively with everyone she met.  Gladys was an avid NY Mets fan until her very last day.  She liked to read, crochet and read her Bible, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.   
  Gladys will be sadly missed by her children, Damaris Rivera, Myrna Rivera, Carmen Rivera, and Phillip Gonzalez; one sister Carmen Perez; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Felipe Gonzalez; two daughters, Olga Rivera and Maritza Rivera; and her siblings, Ramon Perez, Tonita Perez, Ruben Perez, Miguel Perez and Nilda Rodriguez. 
  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  The family requests everyone in attendance to wear bright colors to honor Gladys.   Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Gladys Perez.
