George C. Gensbauer, age 84 of Buena, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 16, 2014.
Formerly of Bristol and Holland, PA, George was a loving husband to Sara (Hinson) for 18 years. He is also survived by his children, David, Daniel, Douglas, Heather and Dean, all of PA; his step daughter Tracy Hinson of Vineland; his step son Carl Hinson of Hawaii; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Kayla, Jamie, Janelle, Sydney, Dylan and Tyler; and his four legged female companion, Molly.
Born in Bristol, PA, George attended Bristol, PA High School and graduated in 1947, upon completing his high school GED in the U.S. Army. He served during World War II and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the Infantry Artillery and special services. He graduated from Temple University in 1962. For 39 years, George worked for the 3M Company and retired in 1988.
George was a member of the American Legion Post No. 270 in Minotola, where he served as Adjutant for many years. He enjoyed golfing, reading his Bible, and Bible studies.
Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Grace Orthodox Fellowship Church, 105 W. Atlantic Ave., Minotola, NJ 08314. Burial will be private at a later date.
