Frances (Starzewski) Snihur, age 87 of Millville, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Cooper Medical Center, Camden, after a brief illness.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she grew up in Millville and graduated from Millville High School.
She married Michael Snihur in 1947, and they were married for 65 years, prior to his death in 2012.
For about 20 years, Mrs. Snihur worked for the Bridgeton Board of Education, where she was in charge of all the cafeterias in the elementary schools, and she retired.
She enjoyed baking and gardening. She won numerous blue ribbons in competitions for both baking and flower arranging.
Mrs. Snihur is survived by her sister Pauline Albanese of Millville; three nieces; one nephew; and two great nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Michael; her parents, Paul and Michalina (Bieges) Starzewski; and one brother Michael.
Memorial services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Christy Funeral Home, Millville.
