Frances E. (Long) Shiles, age 74 of Millville, passed away Friday morning, February 28, 2014 at her home after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Camden, she lived in Bridgeton before moving to Millville.
For a few years, Mrs. Shiles worked as a seamstress for various sewing factories, and she was a homemaker. She married Martin "Marty" Shiles Jr. on Christmas Day in 1970, and they were married for 40 years, prior to his death in 2010.
She enjoyed watching t.v. and taking walks with her dog.
Mrs. Shiles is survived by her sister Lillian Barthlow of Millville; two sisters in law, Judy Long of Millville, and Marion Walker of Vineland; one brother in law Wayne Todd of Vineland; many nieces and nephews; her canine companion Benji; and her dear friend Alice. She was also predeceased by her parents, Harry V. and Wreatha (Ransom) Shiles; one sister Harriet Todd; and one brother Glenn Long.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be no public viewing. Burial will be private in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
