Florence Elizabeth (Riley) Scuderi, age 86 of Millville, passed away after a brief illness on Friday morning, August 16, 2024 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Bridgeton and grew up in Haleyville and Millville by the late Belford and Sarah (Riley) Giberson.  She graduated from Millville High School and attended Cumberland County College.

For many years Florence worked as a school bus driver for various companies.  She then worked for the Cumberland Area Transit System (CATS) for ten years as a bus driver and retired.

Florence was a member of the Haleyville United Methodist Church.  In her early years she was a Girl Scout Troop leader, and she enjoyed racing stock cars.  Throughout her life she enjoyed going to the casinos, traveling, camping, socializing with family and friends, and playing cards with her close friends, but most of all she adored her time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Florence's family would like to acknowledge Inspira Life for their tender loving care to Florence.  

Florence will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Laurie Baglio (Rick Kern) of Eldora, Beth Gamble (Martin Fermento) of Rio Grande, and Lisa Worrell (John Parsons) of Mays Landing; her siblings, Joyce Barth (Howard) of Wildwood Crest, and David Giberson of Florida; eleven grandchildren, John, Ashley, Jeffrey, Matthew, Heather, Joseph, Michael, Sara, Kaitlyn, Joshua and Erica; 29 great grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.  She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Scuderi; her children, Debra and Kurt Edwards; her best friend Sarah Lewis; and one great grandchild, Madison Martinez.  

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024 in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville.  Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville.  In lieu of flowers and in memory of Florence Scuderi, the family requests memorial contributions to Inspira Life, 2445 S. Delsea Drive, ATTN: Gail Stevenson, Vineland, NJ 08360.  Memories of Florence and condolences to her family may be shared on the tribute wall.
